Serving as SoMi ArtWalk's eastern outpost, our historic Doc Thomas House period parlor is transformed into a vibrant art gallery as local author, wildlife photographer and conservationist Kirsten Hines presents her exhibit titled "Birds, Oiseaux, Pájaros." The show offers an intimate perspective on the lives of birds from around the world. Experience their behaviors, habitats and the moods they inspire through unaltered documentary-style images and a more interpretive abstract style achieved in-camera. Enjoy our opening night holiday reception with light fare and a Donation Bird Bar. Bonus: Park for free on Tropical Audubon's Steinberg Nature Center grounds via the 55th Avenue entry gate and use TAS as your ArtWalk home base for a gallery-hopping stroll into town. "Birds, Oiseaux, Pájaros" will hang through December in the "Florida Heritage Site" 1932 cottage with viewings by appointment: Hours vary, so to assure entry please contact us in advance at 305.667.7337 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thirty percent of the proceeds from the sale of all art benefit Tropical Audubon Society.
