Lucky Hammock & Annex Birdlist

Nov 2001 – present

They are officially the Frog Pond Wildlife Management Area and Southern Glades Wildlife and Environmental Area, but local birders know them as Lucky Hammock and the Annex. Lucky Hammock received its name for the good luck we have had finding otherwise unusual birds. The list includes birds seen at the hammock itself, in the adjacent fields between the park and canal and south of the highway, the shrubby area, and along the Greenway west of the canal, and the area south to the youth camp. 194 bird species have been seen there since Nov 2001.
