Lucky Hammock is the moniker for the remnant hardwood hammock within Frog Pond Wildlife Management Area. It was birded in years past but C.J. Grimes named it "Lucky" after finding a Bell's Vireo there in the late 1990's. Just south of Lucky Hammock is the Annex (named by Conrad Sankpill), which is within Southern Glades Wildlife and Environmental Area and recently replanted with native vegetation by the SFWMD.
