I also did a little post-CBC birding, and stopped to see the Great Horned Owl at Coe. A ride down Research Road failed to produce White-tailed Kite (dipping for the 456th time on those birds!)
However, as a consolation,I did find 10 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers and a Western Kingbird on the way home. They were on the wires right along 217th Ave, just north of 312th St (app. 308th St, if such existed)
