: e bird feeder in the back yard. I was expecting grackles or doves. I sat down and in flew a male Painted Bunting directly in the middle of my field of view. I have seen two females in the back yard but never the male. I was shocked at the colors. I thought it would be neat if the sun came out. Well it did. What a view. The big birder in the sky was smiling on me today. Now I do not have to go all over the world to see great birds. I will just sit home in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
