Party for the Birds

Our society’s 2.2-acre Steinberg Nature Center campus is a charming Old Florida setting ideal for hosting memorable private gatherings on an intimate scale (up to 120 attendees). Your guests will be enchanted!

Conveniently located on Sunset Drive near the crossroads of South Miami and Coral Gables, our "green island" urban oasis is comprised of the historic Doc Thomas House, Keystone Patio, the Steinberg Nature Center grounds, the iconic Chickee Hut, Outdoor Kitchen, Restroom Facilities and limited Onsite Parking — all nestled within picturesque native Pollinator Gardens and Pine Rockland and Hardwood Hammock demonstration forests. Nearby Valet and Parking Garage options abound.

Stage your next celebration with the birds and help support conservation, education, advocacy, outreach, grounds upkeep and stewardship of our historic Doc Thomas House headquarters (a Miami-Dade County Landmark and Florida Heritage Site that is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places).

Usage fees/donations are based on # of days/nights, timeframe, # of guests, scope of property use, indoor and/or outdoor access, etc. Event hosts/caterers have the potential use of nine 8-foot picnic tables, ten 6-foot tables and 50 folding chairs.
